Thought it best to get out today as the forecast for the coming week looks crap!.Very moderate wind & lots of rain when i got there not looking good.Got on anyway & once the rain had blown through the wind started to pick up.Was nicely powered up now on 5.7 was getting some nice air as there was plenty of waves. With it being low tide they were nicely spaced. The wind kept on increasing so much so that even with masses of downhaul on the 5.7 i was way overpowered(good fun though except for the big bailout which felt like i had been kicked in the gonads).Changed down to 5.0 had a blast on that for awhile but the wind dropped so went back to 5.7 & had a nice little session on that again.
Was a pleasent surprise to meet Jonno & Phil down there who are from WSM area. All in all a good day.Except for a broken nose on my flow:( .
